Well, I’ve been working on a new batch of papers that I have to grade, almost, if not one hundred of them. Insane, I tell you. Thankfully, I only have to grade ten problems out of each assignment, and they are quite easy to notice of they have done the work or not. However, some peoples’ assignments are atrocious with either not doing the work, or not following the instructions, so I have these three that I have barely touched that I need to ask the professor about. I know I have this bad habit of not updating my blog as often as I like, but I’m going to try and get better at it for the sake for whomever does read it. This week was tiring, but went very well. I started helping out one of my professors, Dr. Hsiung, out with grading assignments for his EET 320 (Microprocessors and Microcontrollers) class, which I had taken last semester. Actually, last week was a great week. I’m kind of pissed off at myself for not posting about what happened right after it happened… SO, a recap is in order. Last week, I started up my summer classes. I’m actually really enjoying my Introduction to Literature class. The professor actually makes the class rather relaxed so it doesn’t feel like like a normal lecture. Plus, he strives, although doesn’t always succeed, to get the class involved a lot, but it ends up usually being about three of us answering while everyone else is quiet. I’ve been working with OCCS for almost two semesters now. I really like my job. Pretty much, my whole job consists of answering the telephone, troubleshooting people’s problems with their computer, or if I am unable to, I forward their problems to the appropriate person. Math, the bane of my very existance! How I hate thee. Seriously, Calculus is just blech. This is the second time I have taken the class and I feel just as lost as the first. I’m trying my best in the class, but it’s just super confusing. Plus, I just don’t see how it fits in with my major. I’m probably missing the big picture, but then again, I always miss the big picture about things. It’s just one of the problems I have with ADD. Read the rest of this entry »
You know, I really enjoy my job. I work at the OCCS help desk here at the college. Basically, I answer the phone, try to help out patrons who either call or come into the office, fill out trouble tickets and send them off to the proper people, and make sure that the cable doesn’t go out on the TV. However, my job gets very slow sometimes and the slowness gives me plenty of time to think about things. Some things, I think, should be left unthought though. Have you ever just had some random, disturbing thought that came out of the blue and you had no idea where it came from? Unfortunately, my mind likes to come up with those thoughts. Not very fun.
