Man, today was a very long and tiring day. I went up to the college today to get help on my precalculus homework, and ended up being up at the college for about 5 hours more than I had planned. However, being up there was not a bad thing as I worked on my internship some more for about 5 hours. From about 12 until 5, I was helping Mr. Richerson and Vlad with moving all of the equipment off of these two racks, as well as moving the two racks to a different location within Mr. Eiland's room. I also had to discard old Simpson watt meters as well as some broken Flukes, oscilloscopes, and other old, assorted electrical test equipment. We'll probably work on the same kind of things next Monday, if not sooner this week. Other than that, life is going pretty well.
Before I went and helped Mr. Richerson with all of that, I had to ask my precalculus teacher for some help and after the third time of her explaining the problems to me, the material finally clicked. What was on the homework was either inferring what the equation for a curve was from the curve or the opposite. After I got the hang of it, I did some of the problems in the book, and checked my answers, I answered about 90% correctly. Hopefully my grade on the homework will reflect that understanding.
The broke part comes from having only $6.00 to my name for the rest of the week. That and my car is on three-quarters empty. Hopefully I'll be able to scrounge up some cash quickly. Is there anyone out there that owes me money?

So, basically, I was unable to go to NYC to attend my great aunt's funeral this weekend due to class being in the way, and my parents not wanting me to skip class. So, after Precalculus II was over, I went over to work on my internship and decided to work on that for a while. Therefore, the past two hours have been spent working on ghosting twenty-one computers through a ghost server and multicasting it out to the twenty-one machines. Thankfully, it all worked. Then we have had to let Windows update all the machines as well as updating the virus scan, but not before we had to register each machine individually. (Talk about time consuming.) Hopefully they will be all up to speed with where they need to be in the next hour. I'm sure you are all wondering why exactly this is all being done. Well, considering somehow, one or two of the machines in the lab decided to spam hotmail.com with 24,000 requests for email addresses (Something called a “Dictionary” attack, at least that is what my instructor told me it was called.). So Microsoft calls the college and says something like “Hey, one of your computers spammed us big time.” and the lab lost internet access for 24 hours until we could isolate the problem and fix it. Which brings us back to now where I am now installing Service Pack 2 on all these machines.
When we did the ghosting, we first tried it on just one computer to verify that the ghostserver worked at all. When we did verify that it worked, we tried two computers simultaneously to make sure that it worked. When we then saw that multiple computers worked, we ghosted the rest of the twenty-one machines at the same time. We also had to update the virus protection.
We will be making a new ghost image once computer #1 receives and installs Service Pack 2.
Other than that, the day has been really quiet. I just have to make sure that I call Mom sometime this evening to make sure that she made it up to NYC ok.

Alright, this is how it is. I'm sitting here right now in E108 at school, working on Physics, when I just realized how stressful this is and how overwhelmed I feel about the class. I mean, I'm horrible at math, and I'm doing pretty good at Precalculus II. It's just the way that the teacher words things in Physics that is making me tear my hair out over this. Other than that, my other classes are going great.
In other news, I found out last night that my great aunt Ann had passed away. This comes five days after finding out that my cousin Paul, her son, had passed away from a brain tumor. I have no clue if I will be able to go to NYC to the funeral or not. If I can, will I have to miss a class or not?
(Speaking of physics, I just completed one lab, and boy, I am still confused.)
