A rare breed. A person sure enough of their self-righteousness that they can take it upon themselves to act as an avatar — an extension — of that which they believe in. Though you might act as a delegate of someone or something else, there is no question that your faith and strength are powerful enough to instill in millions of people the deepest respect for you.

I is so tired…

It's only 10:30 and I am so utterly exhausted. I have no clue why.
Thank God I was able to do all of my homework quite easily, thanks to
the Night Duty Instructor who helped me out when I stumbled on my
problems at times.

My mother and step-father left for Ireland
today. I wish I could join them, but since it is their honeymoon, after
being married for over 10 years, they deserve this trip a lot. Speaking
of my parents, I love them dearly and hope they really do enjoy this
trip of theirs.

In other news, this past Friday I had to take my
Physics final. Talk about a cakewalk. It was a three hour exam which
only took me two hours to complete. I quadruple checked the damn thing
to see if I could find any errors. Well, turns out that I received a
3.33 out of 4.00 on the test. That's the highest grade I have received
so far. I am SO happy. I was so happy… I actually did a little happy
dance, but shhhhh, don't tell anyone.

Hopefully I will get a good night's rest when I log off of here, but as usual, I'll probably be exhausted when I wake up.

Irrational Exuberance

Today was a good day. It just was. Can't really explain how, except for the fact that I really studied for my Physics final for tomorrow… which starts at 0700 tomorrow morning. YUCK! LOL! But, I passed my Cross-Rate test, which was surprising because I thought I didn't do so well on it. Also, the weekend is almost upon us and I am glad it is coming. Well, here is hoping tomorrow will be even better. By the way, my parents are leaving for Ireland on Sunday, the rotten people didn't even invite me along… LOL, just kidding. I hope they have fun when they leave on Sunday.

And it hits the fan…

Well, today was an all right day. Very uneventful. Tried my contacts in once again, not sure if I plan on continuing to wear them or not. I've been so tired lately, I' am not too sure why, but I think I am overly stressed out. Found out a couple weeks ago that my parents are going to Ireland around Memorial Day. Hope that trip goes well for them. Sorry that I am not more talkative.

Just a Quickie

Well, here I am at the computer during lunch. Just waiting for the mail people to get all of my mail so i can pass it out to the class. Hopefully they will be done soon. Found out i failed my first test ever yesterday. Not too happy about that, but oh well.

The flag and I

As I went home today from studying, I had to stop when colors sounded. For those unfamiliar with military terms, colors has to deal with the flags, in particular, the American flag. As I was standing at modified attention with my hand over my heart, I was watching the flag being ceremoniously lowered. Waving in the evening breeze. I felt a great sense of pride, knowing that I was helping, in my own small way. Maybe I am naive, but just watching the flag filled me with a sense of awe and amazement. Usually, it is just another event that happens day in and day out and I pay no mind to it, but today just happened to be a waking moment. I may sound very sappy with this, but I am proud to be an American… and very proud to be protecting the country I live in and the people that live in it.

Oh, in other news, I am getting a bit better than I have been this past week, so I'm pretty happy about that. Also, I finished all my chores around the BEQ. And lastly, I went out with a couple guys to see X-men 2 and go have some ribs at this awesome place called “Sticky Fingers”. If you're ever in the North Charleston area, I would definitely recommend going there… great food and awesome atmosphere.

Can you tell I'm pissed?

Well, its 2:33 in the morning and I'm not awake by choice. I have this awful ear ache that actually woke me up. I just got back from seeing the duty corpsman, which I had to wake up. She just gave me some aspirin. I pray to God that it will ease the pain enough to let me get 3 more hours of sleep.

By the way, I'm sorry I did not do a normal post earlier, but I went to bed early so I could get some rest.
